Dancer

Sean Mayfair

I dance 'cross the stage

Inside this amphitheater

Feel I've been here forever

Yet I'm still a new feature

My shoes have worn down

And my leg work is faulty

Practiced sixteen straight years

But no real purpose for me

A veiled group of figures

Sit judging my work

In the end just deciding

How much I am worth

My mind now slips focus

And so do my legs

Soon I'll have to stop dancing

Lie down on this stage

Sean Mayfair is sixteen years old and attends Braden River High School.
