ESL Writers Needed for Local Anthology
Updated: Jul 2
We are seeking short stories and personal essays (150 to 2,000 words) from ESL writers in the Tampa Bay area. The theme is a sense of “home,” which is more than just a house, but a sense of belonging. Writing can be in English, Spanish, or both. ESL writers whose first language is not Spanish are also encouraged to submit their writing in English. We also welcome submissions of collaborative writing by more than one person. For example, a family may work together to write or translate an essay. No prior writing experience is required. We welcome new as well as experienced writers. HOW TO SUBMIT Please email your typed or handwritten story or essay to firstname.lastname@example.org by August 9, 2021 or adult students can submit through one of our partner organizations. She loves to garden.” ABOUT US 805 Lit + Art is an award-winning literary magazine published by the Manatee County Public Library System.
