Searching

Don Tran

I find it hard to find my place

Feels like time’s moving too fast, there’s nothing that awaits.

So should I just get in line and follow the pace?

Because life is such a struggle, and I feel misplaced.

There’s nowhere for me to go in this space.

The drugs make me feel like I’m in a maze,

‘Cause minutes turn to hours to days.

Man I’m too far gone, all I see are wraiths

I should just look back and retrace,

My missteps and mistakes

And figure out

How I winded up in this place,

Where my heart got erased,

Where all I see… is your face.
